I am frequently asked about the quality control processes at Max Muscle Sports Nutrition (MMSN) and how we assure that safe products are brought
to market. In this month’s eNewsletter, I want to discuss this important topic and why you can trust the safety and quality of our products.
Max Muscle’s focus on quality products begins with our commitment to sourcing, purchasing and controlling raw materials. Max Muscle only sources
raw materials from well established companies located in the U.S. and abroad. We use leading ingredient suppliers, many patented ingredients, and
only use contract manufacturers that adhere to current good manufacturing practices (GMP) and are in compliance with U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) regulations (21 CFR 111) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Most are certified by third party programs like NSF
International and the Natural Products Association (NPA). Within the GMPs are extensive procedures and required documentation to ensure safe
ingredients and manufacturing guidelines. Regardless of the country of origin, our extensive quality assurance and quality control procedures ensure
that Max Muscle's products are safe, pure and meet the purported label claims. This means that what you see on the label in the Supplement Facts
panel is what you will find in the bottle.
Max Muscle has established close and long-standing working relationships with a group of trusted vendors who consistently furnish the highest
quality materials to meet our product standards and specifications. Max Muscle's strict vendor qualification program along with ongoing facility audits
ensure we work with reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
For our raw material suppliers and manufacturers, all ingredients are carefully inspected upon receipt, sampled and held under quarantine until
analytical testing is completed to confirm that they meet all quality specifications for purity, potency, and physical characteristics. All raw materials
undergo thorough testing to verify the certificates of analysis (COA) prior to use in the manufacturing process. Testing for microbiological
contamination (e.g., pathogens, yeast, mold) and heavy metals (e.g., lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic) are also performed. Any material that
does not meet all specifications is rejected. All aspects of the quality program and test results are thoroughly documented and on file. Traceability of
every ingredient used in each of our products is an absolute requirement of our system. All production and testing records are maintained in
safekeeping for several years.
Max Muscle routinely audits our contract manufactures and raw material suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards for ingredients and
manufacturing operations. We also conduct internal audits of our procedures and processes to ensure compliance within our organization.
